Paul and Elizabeth's Adventures in Oz

Day 17, Thursday, September 12, 2002—

Today we took a horseback ride in the rainforest. We were picked up in Port Douglas about 8:15 a.m. and were driven just north of Cairns to the Blazing Saddles outfitters. They conduct horseback rides as well as ATV excursions in the rainforest along the Captain Cook Highway. After a BBQ lunch at the main camp, we were taken back to Port Douglas where we had the rest of the afternoon free.

Elizabeth managed to burn out the power converter for her laptop this evening, so we've allowed extra time tomorrow before leaving the Cairns airport to pick up a new, heavier-duty converter.
