Paul and Elizabeth's Adventures in The Cook Islands

Day 33, Saturday/Friday, September 28/27, 2002—
What a strange feeling! We left Hobart early in the morning of Saturday, September 28, crossed the International Dateline, and arrived at Rarotonga, The Cook Islands just after 11 p.m. on Friday, September 27! Who says you can't go back in time??

Day 34, Saturday, September 28 2002—
We stayed at the Edgewater Resort, the largest (and probably the best!) resort on the island. They have just about everything there — car and scooter rentals, tennis and snorkeling equipment for rent, tour reservations, restaurants...you name it! And their lagoon made for some terrific snorkeling. We were in the water every day. Paul had learned, while we were on the Great Barrier Reef, that his moustache was an impediment to snorkeling. So once we arrive on Rarotonga, off it came! Take a look — doesn't he look very Amish??
