Paul and Elizabeth's Adventures in The Cook Islands

Day 35, Sunday, September 29, 2002—
Sunday was a day for church and more snorkeling. Just about everybody goes to church on Sunday in the Cooks. The biggest denomination by far is the local Cook Island Christian Church (CICC). We attended St. Mary's Catholic Church on Rarotonga. It was quite an experience. The use of the local Cook Island Maori language in parts of the service, along with drums where we would normally use bells, made the Mass rather exotic.
