Day 6, Sunday, September 1, 2002
We attended a Latin Mass at St. Luke's Catholic Church along with the Martinovics. Really surprising was that the church building itself looks like one of the old California Mission churches same stucco, same style. And for you folks at St. Jude who think we have primative, uncomfortable kneelers, well these were plain wood with no padding!
Unfortunately, I forgot to take my camera to St. Luke's (week after next, when we're back in Brisbane again). The only pic I took today was this one of the Martinovic's home.

Days 7-9, Monday-Wednesday, September 2-4, 2002
Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort, Moreton Island, Queensland. We and the Martinovics boarded the Tangalooma Flyer (sea launch) at 10 a.m. on Monday for the 75 min. trip across Moreton Bay to the Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort. We were only scheduled to stay there overnight, but after seeing the resort and our accomodations (a 2-story townhouse "villa," just a bit smaller than yours, Lori!), we all agreed that Andriya would take a "mental health" day on Wednesday and we would stay over Tuesday night, too!
In the afternoon, Andriya and Nikolai rented 4-wheelers and took a 45 min. tour of the area around the resort. Elizabeth wanted Paul to teach her to snorkle. We decided the bay was too cold, so we took the gear into the pool, which turned out to be about the same temp. as the bay! On Monday evening, we all got to hand feed the wild dolphins that have been coming to the jetty each evening for the past 10 years. For more information on the dolphins and the resort, visit http://www.tangalooma.com
On Tuesday, the Martinovics rented catamarans and went for a swim in the ocean :-) while the Dunns photoed the event. There was also a Martinovic-Dunn world championship table tennis match (Paul won) and Andriya, Milena and Nikolai went sand tobogganing.
Back to Brisbane on Wednesday afternoon, and packing up for the next leg of our trip to northern Queensland where we'll visit the rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef. We're heading up by train on Thursday morning and will arrive on Friday afternoon. We're not sure what our internet abilities will be while there, so just keep checking back. We will be back in Brisbane on Friday, 9/13 and will upload new files then, if not before.
